A Breathwork and Yoga Workshop

Introduction to the Yoga Sutras

with Jen Campbell Munn

2-4 pm
This 2- hour workshop will combine teaching on the Sutras with a practice featuring asana, pranayama, chanting and meditation. It’s suitable for curious and experienced beginners as well as those with more advanced practices.

The great Eastern scholar Patanjali wrote The Yoga Sutras, the foundational text of yoga, in the 4th century. While rarely mentioned in a typical yoga class, the ancient wisdom in these sutras, or threads, offers answers to some big questions:

  – What is the goal of yoga?

  – How do we practice in a way that moves us toward this goal?

  – How do we cultivate qualities that serve our lives both on and off the mat?

Reflection: An Autumn Yoga Retreat
